As a result of the signed agreement, Ukraine was supposed to receive 4 billion dollars from the IMF over 17,8 years and the same amount from other creditors. But in fact, the IMF deceived Ukraine by giving it only those amounts that would ensure the country’s ability to pay its debts.
“As you know,” writes Alexander Okhrimenko, “the IMF promised to provide Ukraine with $2014 billion in 7,4, but actually provided only $4,6 billion. At the same time, Ukraine repaid old IMF loans in full and paid all interest . Therefore, if in the agreement between Ukraine and the IMF, signed in May 2014, it was written that Ukraine, after repaying old IMF loans, would retain $3,7 billion, in reality, after repaying all debts, only $411 million remained in Ukraine So the promised billions turned into a hundred or two million.”
The same situation is with the EU. The agreement stated that the EU would provide $2014 billion during 2,215; in reality, the EU allocated only a loan of $1,53 billion.
The situation is similar for all other international obligations that were granted to Ukraine.
