The IMF gave Ukraine money

Ukraine received the first tranche under the new Stand-By Arrangement cooperation program with the International Monetary Fund, approved by the Fund’s Board of Directors on December 18, in the amount of about the equivalent of $1,4 billion, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
As reported on the website of the National Bank of Ukraine, thanks to this, Ukraine’s international reserves grew to $20,1 billion, or to a five-year high since January 2014.
Earlier, the IMF Board of Directors approved a new stand-by program for Ukraine in the amount of $3,9 billion with immediate payment of the first tranche in the amount of $1,4 billion.
