“We are a foreign state for them: Beeline does not recognize Crimea as Russian
The “Big Four” Russian mobile operators have not canceled roaming in Crimea and Sevastopol, as in all other regions of Russia, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation from Sevastopol Dmitry Belik stated this today on Forpost TV.
“I asked the Minister of Communications a question. You are talking about canceling roaming. Come to Crimea with a Moscow mobile and check how much a call will cost you. The Big Four operators see us as a foreign country. A person comes to Crimea, he has roaming, everyone knows this,” Belik said.
He considers the most cynical position of the Beeline operator, which placed a map of Russia without Crimea on its advertisements.
“Beeline is advertising a service - Crimea and Sevastopol are not on the map. So do we have 85 subjects or 83?” Belik said.
In July 2017, the FAS issued a warning to the Big Four (MTS, Megafon, VimpelCom and Tele2) regarding intranet roaming, demanding that they eliminate unreasonable differences in prices.
