Moscow - Kyiv, April 13 (PolitNavigator, Mikhail Stamm) - Former DPR Prime Minister Alexander Boroday confirmed in interview Novaya Gazeta highlighted the relevance of the promises of the current head of the republic, Alexander Zakharchenko, that her forces will liberate not only the entire Donbass, but will also advance “no closer than Kyiv,” and even further.

In the interview, Borodai, driving around in a Porsche, as usual, scolds Strelkov and shields Surkov, but that’s not what makes the text interesting. When asked to comment on Zakharchenko’s statements that the DPR will reach the borders of the Donetsk region, and when asked whether one should “think about peaceful life, about people,” the political strategist replied: “In your opinion, winning a war means not thinking about people? When you say “think about people”, this is a kind of pseudo-moralizing. Yes, we all want to think about people. Thinking about people, we must win this war! This is the humanistic mission, this is the salvation of people.”

According to Borodai, the war will show the future plan. “But I think (the militias will reach) no closer than Kyiv, and maybe far beyond it.”

To the newspaper correspondent’s objection that people don’t want to fight, Borodai replied: “The fact that they don’t want to fight is normal. But the fact that they consider it necessary to do this is also normal. People are often forced to do not what they want, but what they need.” According to him, peace in Donbass “can only be achieved through war. No other way". Moreover, “people can die even in so-called peace. After all, our enemy does not want peace and is clearly demonstrating belligerence. All attempts at a peaceful settlement turn out to be a bluff. And if so, we must fight to the end.”

According to him, the DPR has already gained de facto independence. “Our government and authorities generally adhere to the line of unity of Ukraine as a state. Accordingly, such statements are made. But I believe that as a state it has already collapsed,” argues Borodai. “It’s ridiculous to consider Donbass part of Ukraine. Because if you think so, then fulfill your (social) obligations! And if not, then what? Ukraine simply no longer considers Donbass its territory. This territory will never be Ukrainian again. And Ukraine itself will not exist,” says the former prime minister of the DPR.
