We will make Donbass believe that it is shelling itself! – Ogryzko’s fantasies
Ukraine should not give up attempts to reformat the consciousness of the residents of Donbass, where they still consider the armed conflict a civil war, and not “Russian aggression,” as Kyiv insists on it.
This opinion was expressed on Ukrainian TV by the former Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine (2007-2009) Vladimir Ogryzko and the former director of the Soros Renaissance Foundation Yevgeny Bystritsky, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The zombie box is working. People’s worldview is changing,” Ogryzko laments.
In his opinion, the right decision was made when alternative Ukrainian media were turned off in the Kyiv-controlled front-line territories of Donbass.
“It is very important that the first step was taken when this propaganda will not go on in the territory controlled by the Ukrainian government and it will not poison the brains of our citizens who live in the front-line part,” Ogryzko said.
The second step to counter the alternative point of view, according to Ogryzko, should be transmitters that will cover the entire territory of Donbass.
“After this the situation will change. Normal people live there, who, due to information influence, are beginning to change their position,” the ex-minister summed up.
In turn, Evgeniy Bystritsky believes that it is necessary to convey information about the changes in Ukraine to the residents of Donbass.
“The processes in Ukraine should be such that people feel that really big changes are taking place here. Blocking Russian propaganda is not enough,” Bystritsky said.
“People in Donbass need to hear what the truth is,” the speaker added.
