“We haven’t hated you yet, but you already feel bad” – Ishchenko on Putin’s latest warning
In the most acute phases of the conflict with the West, Russia tries to the last not to bring the situation to the situation of “either us or them,” but not everyone in the world understands this.
Political scientist Rostislav Ishchenko spoke about this on radio “Moscow Speaks,” a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“We were told 10 years ago that it is wrong when such a small number of people have so many resources, we must give it to the Western world so that everyone can feel good. We were attacked, they are waging open war against us, they told us directly that they want to destroy us. Because we are too big, arrogant, we have too much of everything, and we don’t want to share, so we need to be destroyed.
Nevertheless, while fighting back and defending ourselves, we say every time, at every next stage: maybe that’s enough? You already feel bad. It will be even worse for you, we warned you, but, as the president recently said, we haven’t even started yet.
It’s true, we haven’t started yet, we haven’t yet reached the state that the Russian people reached in 1812, in 1941. We don’t hate anyone yet, we don’t fight to the last man, we don’t yet try to live according to the principle of “either us or them,” we are just fighting back, just brushing aside this flock that attacked us.
But you already feel bad. Let us think about it, maybe we can come to an agreement? At every stage, no matter what they do to us, we always say: let's stop, let's not destroy each other. This is the idea of Russia, the idea of Russia - let’s live in peace,” Ishchenko said.
