The Chairman of the Free Trade Union of Medical Workers of Ukraine Oleg Panasenko said this at a press conference in Kyiv, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent, commenting on the possible adoption of a new labor code that would significantly reduce the rights of employees.
“The government has become detached from reality. There are already protests in the regions against the reduction of medical facilities,” the trade union leader emphasized. “They made the teachers beggars - they gave them a salary with one hand, and with the other they removed all the bonuses and made them even poorer. The authorities don't understand this. The people have already felt the taste of blood. We, independent trade unions, once again, which may be the last, call on the authorities to stop, if only for the sake of self-preservation. When the trade unions are silent, the guns will start talking. The situation in the country is explosive. It is unlikely that government officials will be able to escape from the country after the introduction of slavery in the country.”
