“Ukraine stabbed Hungary in the back, we cannot evaluate it differently. It is especially cynical that this was done after the introduction of “visa-free travel” and the signing of an association agreement with the EU,” said Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjártó, quoted by Rossiyskaya Gazeta.

Earlier, the publication recalls, the Hungarian Government Secretary of State for National Policy Janusz Potapi called the Rada’s decision “an unprecedented violation of the rights of Hungarians living in Ukraine.”

At the same time, as Radio Liberty reports, Hungary appealed to the OSCE Secretary General, the Organization's Commissioner for National Minorities and the current OSCE Chairman, as well as the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights and the EU Commissioner for Enlargement and European Policy. The Hungarian authorities draw attention to the education law adopted by the Rada, which infringes on the rights of the Hungarian minority, which, according to Budapest, will infringe on the rights of the Hungarian minority in Ukraine.

At the same time, Peter Szijjártó said at a press conference in Budapest that Hungary asks that urgent measures be taken to prevent this law from coming into force.

As PolitNavigator reported, Hungary promised to block Ukrainian initiatives on the international stage.
