“As always, we were the first to give the order for a ceasefire. Now the plan is very simple: first, a ceasefire, second, withdrawal of troops, third, constant monitoring by the OSCE. At the same time, we must begin the exchange of prisoners and unblock humanitarian aid,” he said on Inter. Let us note that even in the afternoon the DPR and LPR announced that orders had been given to the militias for a ceasefire at 0:00 on February 15.
In addition, Klimkin emphasized that border control remains one of the most important issues: “Everything that comes in comes from the border.”
“We may hear about new sanctions against both individuals and companies,” Klimkin said, speaking about the consequences of a possible violation of the truce. At the same time, he is counting on “the most stringent measures in the whole world.”
