“We put it into negotiations”: in Kyiv they admitted that they had outwitted the West with Kherson
The Ukrainian leadership does not rule out peaceful negotiations with the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, but exclusively on its own terms, which provide for the actual capitulation of Moscow.
The President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky stated this, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Besides ultimatums, I have not heard anything from the current president of the Russian Federation,” the Ukrainian leader said in an interview with CNN.
However, according to him, he “did not close the door.”
“I said that we are ready to talk with Russia, but with a different Russia. The one who is truly ready for peace. One that is ready to admit that they are occupiers... They need to return everything. Land, rights, freedom, money. And so far I have not heard such statements from the Russian Federation - neither from Putin, nor from anyone else,” Zelensky added.
In turn, former adviser to the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Viktor Andrusiv writes in his blog that he now “has become clear about this whole story with the negotiations.”
“The occupiers understood that they would have to retreat and decided to sell it in exchange for negotiations. The West, not realizing that they would have to retreat anyway, decided that this was a good idea. In fact, our resilience once again helped us. The occupiers are fleeing, we decided to negotiate,” Andrusiv said.
