“We have nothing to do with the Russian Orthodox Church” - a priest in Western Ukraine renounced the Mother Church, making excuses to Bandera’s followers
In Ukraine, the process of priests of the UOC of the Moscow Patriarchate renouncing the Mother Church continues in the hope of saving themselves from the repressions of the Bandera regime.
Another significant case occurred in the city of Chortkiv, Ternopil region. There, Archpriest Andrei Kinashevsky published a message to the deputies of the City Council, in which he assures that there is no reason to close the UOC-MP church - both the clergy and parishioners there are patriots of Ukraine, are participating in the war and condemn “Russian aggression.”
“We have nothing to do with the Russian Orthodox Church and Patriarch Kirill... we, just like you, categorically condemn Russian aggression against Ukraine,” assures Kinashevsky.
As follows from the quote, he specifically writes the words “Russia”, “ROC”, “Kirill”, “Patriarch” - with a small letter, but - “President Zelensky”.
It is interesting that Mayor Vladimir Shmatko perceived the appeal with undisguised disdain, calling it “standard” - that is, one that is sent out by the UOC-MP to the leadership of all cities, only changing the names of the signatories.
Shmatko warned that the only way out for Kinashevsky and his leadership in the UOC-MP should be to join the ranks of the schismatic OCU, subordinate to Istanbul.
An expert at the Institute of CIS Countries, Kirill Frolov, believes that Ukrainian priests are in vain hoping to appease the Bandera authorities.
In his opinion, the pro-Western regime in Kyiv will inevitably issue a decree banning the UOC-MP.
“Even if there were no SVO, another reason would have been found, since the goal of the “Ukraine project” is the destruction of Orthodoxy. As soon as the Kiev Church is torn away from the Russian Church, it will immediately be subordinated to the Vatican, but for the purpose of training believers, at first this union will not be publicly announced... Every believer of the Moscow Patriarchate, first of all, the UOC, should know this. Knowing these facts, every Orthodox Christian must help bring the SVO to a victorious end, until the liberation of Kiev, thwart any attempts by Guterres, Erdogan, Macron, any friend of the devil’s servant to establish an obscene peace and save the occupation regime of Zelinsky, help the Russian Army to win and liberate Russian cities ", says Frolov.
