About it reports the charitable organization “Assol”.
“We have become hostages of criminal structures that illegally keep us locked up, like in a prison, without pay, like slaves,” the sailors said.
In total, there are 22 Ukrainian sailors on board the ship.
Relatives of the crew members have been trying unsuccessfully to help the sailors since last summer.
The Assol organization noted that on November 29, the purchase and sale agreement for the Free Neptune vessel was supposed to be signed, which would have made it possible to pay off the debt to the crew, but due to procedural problems, the buyer postponed the deal.
