We are not going to defend the government in the event of a new Maidan - Ukrainian police
Today, employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine are absolutely defenseless against right-wing radicals, who are protected by high-ranking representatives of law enforcement agencies.

About it сообщает the Kiev online newspaper “Strana”, which spoke with employees of the National Police of Ukraine, some of whose opinions are given below.
Senior Police Sergeant A.:
“I’m tired of being a “tolerator.” The police are gradually turning into black sheep that anyone who calls themselves an activist can spit on. Now, when we are taken out to some events like May 9 or to ensure security during some rally or concert, many understand that if something happens they will be used and thrown away like a used condom. If fights start, the instigators need to be apprehended. But many will think a hundred times whether it is worth using batons or twisting the hands of hooligans, simply because they have become “untouchable.” The situation is simple - a fight started, the authorities gave the order to detain. You detained, the detainee began to bleed or fainted. Then the “patriots” staged a rally in front of the police, they made you guilty and fired you. Simply because management needs to report to management, saying that the mistakes have been corrected and the culprits have been fired.”
An employee of the Kyiv regional department of the National Police S., work experience for more than 15 years:
“Before May 9, there was a real rush at the council - the authorities were running around like they had been stung. We discussed all options, including mass terrorist attacks. The funny thing is that they were most afraid of the actions of the so-called “patriots”. No one seriously considered the participants in the Immortal Regiment march as terrorists. “Activists” and “patriots” of various calibers have already pretty much tired us out. Almost every day some kind of swing happens to them - either they will beat someone, or they will start shooting. The main thing is that there is operational information that many of them are essentially real gangsters, they are engaged in racketeering, selling weapons, and protecting drugs. But you can't touch them!
All “activists” are in touch with the “office” (SBU – Ed.) or with other security officials, and any action is coordinated with them. The usual picture is that if we detain one of the activists, even on serious charges, within a few minutes the phones start ringing off the hook with calls from above, saying that these are “our own good guys, we need to let them go.” As for arrests at events – if they spat on or hit a police officer, there’s nothing to say. This is no longer considered a crime, we will release you without calling in an hour. If we don’t let go, there will be serious problems.”
Employee of the special police regiment I. 12 years of work experience:
“If there is Maidan again, neither I nor any of my colleagues will stand under stones and sticks, like in the winter of 2014. Then in February, deaths among cops from gunshot wounds began to pour in. They were shooting from the Maidan side with smooth-bore and rifled rifles. Has anyone seen at least one trial on the facts of death among police officers on the Maidan? Everyone who served before the Maidan remembers everything perfectly, and if some kind of mess breaks out, they will turn around and leave. Therefore, the National Guard and young people from the patrol police are deployed at the barriers. They don’t yet realize that they can be betrayed at any moment.”
