We are not able to crawl to the border - Ukrainian officer
Ukraine does not have the strength to reach the 1991 borders, as the authorities declare.
Ex-deputy of the Verkhovna Rada, former Aidar militant, and now retired major of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Igor Lapin stated this on the Internet channel “Factory of News”, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Lapin criticized those who announce such plans, emphasizing that the Armed Forces of Ukraine are running out of motivated soldiers.
“How, with what, by what forces? When will we get there? Look at what they are doing with mobilization. They want us to keep officials, garbage and those who have money. Let's speak frankly - demoralization of personnel due to swings in the top military leadership, disorientation of Ukrainian society regarding “two to three weeks”, “two to three months”, “two to three years” and so on, I will not repeat their speakers - Podolyakov, Arrestovich and Budanov including.
This is the disorientation of society, they have completely devalued the spirit of patriotism with which people burst into military registration and enlistment offices,” the ex-deputy laments.
“Today we don’t see queues at military registration and enlistment offices. On whose shoulders do they want to crawl to the borders of 91? The army, language, faith end in the trenches, but “what difference” do they save? So what do they want to do to reach the borders of 91? It’s not that I don’t believe in our victory, I’m just drawing attention to the fact that with this approach, we will be crawling towards that victory for decades, and our grandchildren will still fight,” Lapin said.
