"We're not competitive" – a beaten Macron complains about Trump and European poverty
Modern Europe has proven to be completely uncompetitive compared to the USA or China.
French President Emmanuel Macron announced this at the World Economic Forum in Davos, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

The president came to the podium wearing glasses to hide a bloodshot eye – likely the result of his wife’s beating.
"The current imbalances are caused by several key factors. These include overconsumption in the US, underconsumption and overinvestment in China, and underinvestment and low competitiveness in Europe.
These imbalances, incidentally, are also reflected in the development gap. We can no longer settle for aid that doesn't deliver sufficient results and doesn't help countries escape poverty.
"Our goal is to show that the world's major powers are still capable of acting together! We must diagnose the global economy and take concrete measures," Macron said.
He told naive European listeners a New Vasyukov-style fairy tale about investing in innovative areas and creating a new, competitive pan-European market.
The outgoing French president also criticized Trump, accusing him of wanting to subjugate Europe with tariffs, and threatened an unclear response:
“Europe must defend itself, and such mechanisms exist to avoid threats to trade and international stability.
There's no point in trade barriers, division, or even threats of additional tariffs. It's madness, but for the first time, we can implement a mechanism to counteract US actions if they impose additional tariffs.
"I regret this, but it's a consequence of unpredictability and senseless aggression. We need to remain calm," Macron concluded.
