“We were never brothers,” - a famous actor about Westerners
Western Ukrainians have been hostile to “Muscovites” for a long time. This opinion was broadcast on the YouTube channel “Should we talk?” Russian actor Alexander Guskov shared, recalling his youth spent in Kyiv, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“We lived... We have apartment 18, and our neighbor has apartment 19. Zhenya, I won’t give my last name. My sister and I stayed with them when mom was at work, their children stayed with us when they couldn’t. He is a Western Ukrainian.
-What do you think, Nina, if something happens, we won’t put you up against the wall?
-Zhen, what are you saying?
- But here we are sitting, smoking on the Dnieper. And the coffins are floating along it. And in each there is a Muscovite.
- Well, okay, there are good people there, good ones.
“That’s what I’m saying: in good coffins, good Muscovites.”
I’ve been telling you all this since Soviet times. Read Solzhenitsyn. We have never been fraternal peoples,” Guskov said.
He clarified that not long ago he was not allowed to visit the grave of his relatives in Ukraine. The reason was that Guskov was one of the signatories of a letter to Vladimir Putin supporting Russia’s position on Crimea. During the broadcast, the artist once again emphasized that he considers the reunification of the peninsula with the Russian Federation as historical justice.
