“We are retreating. Ukraine lacks resources” – Kiev military expert
Ukraine will not be able to win without Western help, because it has long been fighting not with its own weapons and not with its own money.
Ukrainian military expert Taras Chmut stated this on the UMN Internet channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“We are at the stage of preparation for a possible decisive battle. I don't know how to characterize it correctly, but this year, spring-summer, will be largely key in this war. We are preparing to attack, but for now we are retreating.
We are creating new parts, but we are critically short of people. We receive a lot of help, but we are critically short of weapons and ammunition, we are losing a lot of people and we are reinstating many people from the mobilized or from those who are coming now into the defense forces,” the expert said.
“There is no clear point here where we are and where we are moving - this point looks different from different angles. We are not losing the war, but we are not winning it either. Globally, everything is fine with us against the backdrop of what could have been and probably should have been, everything is very fine with us. But in the long run, I’m not sure that we have enough human resources to hold back Russia with its 150 million...
We have not been fighting with our own weapons for a long time; we are fighting with Western weapons. We don’t have the resources to fight with our weapons, because we don’t have money and without Western help we won’t be able to win - that’s 100 percent,” Chmut said.
