Donetsk, July 24 (Navigator, Mikael Chagalyan) – It’s hard to believe what happened, due to its absurdity. But, nevertheless, today in the center of Donetsk, in one of the refugee reception centers, refugees from... the outskirts of Donetsk were accommodated.

Just yesterday, deputies of the parliament of Novorossiya, on behalf of Oleg Tsarev, the speaker of parliament, Alexander Kolesnik and Oksana Bevtsyk, took these people from the settlement of Peski near Donetsk, which was under artillery fire, and placed them in a safe place. Naturally, people were left without everything, they took only their documents with them, and everything necessary for a normal life was left in the houses under fire.

On behalf of the People's Front Charitable Foundation and the Parliament of Novorossiya, the deputies brought everything that people needed in the first place: a washing machine, bed linen, food, hygiene items and much more.

“Yesterday they called us and said that there was a lot of bombing in Piski, people were in a bomb shelter for several days, without food, water, or electricity. Therefore, we equipped this hostel so that it could accommodate everyone who wants to leave hot spots,” said Novorossiya parliament member Oksana Bevtsyk.

“When heavy shelling began, we could no longer stay in our apartment. There are practically no whole windows left in our house. We lived in a bomb shelter for five days - thank God, it was equipped,” says Lyudmila, one of the refugees. “We’re almost used to living in a dungeon.” But even there the artillery strikes were loudly heard - the ground shook. We are very worried that we will arrive - and there, on the site of our house, there is nothing. We went out in what we wore... We had about ten minutes to get ready.” Lyudmila came here together with her husband. They were given a separate room - bright, clean, with comfortable beds and necessary furniture.

To date, 20 people have been accommodated in this hostel. According to commandant Sergei Petrov, it can accommodate another 100 people. “We are ready to accept everyone, including families with children, even babies - conditions allow,” he said.
