“In the exchange of sanctions in the field of foreign trade in agricultural products, which turned into a diplomatic war between Turkey and Russia over tomatoes and wheat, Russia got what it wanted,” the publication notes.

“As a result of the negotiations that President Recep Tayyip Erdogan held with Russian President Vladimir Putin, Russia gained the upper hand on the issue of trade in agricultural products. Russia ensured the continuation of the ban on imports of tomatoes from Turkey and at the same time cleared the way for the export of Russian wheat to Turkey. According to the agreements reached, Turkey will not be able to export tomatoes to Russia, but Russia will be able to export wheat to Turkey,” the newspaper notes.
