We are losing to Russia in the UAV battle - Ukrainian Armed Forces volunteer
Ukraine is losing the race in the field of drones to Russia, although a year ago it had an advantage.
A Ukrainian volunteer who mobilized into the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Yuri Kasyanov, stated this on Radio NV, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Kasyanov, the Russian Lancet unmanned loitering munitions, which destroy equipment, are creating big problems for the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
“I don’t see any fundamental progress now that would allow us to catch up, because at the very beginning of the war we had a certain advantage in UAVs. UAVs were used by us, the Ukrainian army, and volunteers; entire methods were developed for using UAVs as strike systems and reconnaissance systems. And we had an advantage that made it possible, to some extent, to neutralize the enemy’s advantage in heavy equipment, armored and artillery systems.
Now, alas, we are behind - this is true... and this is not what we know from the media. Those at the front will tell you that this situation has been like this for a long time, and the Lancets really dominate the battlefield; a lot of our equipment was burned by these Lancets. Moreover, the enemy is increasingly using FPV drones, where we were pioneers and we had an advantage. However, we are now late, we are losing this race,” Kasyanov concluded.
