“We are against NATO” – Dodik at the UN Security Council reprimanded the overseer of the West

The night before, at the initiative of Russia’s representative to the UN, Vasily Nebenzi, an online meeting of the Security Council of this organization was held, dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the Dayton Accords.

The meeting was attended by the leader of the Bosnian Serbs Milorad Dodik, the leader of the Bosnian Croats Dragan Covic, the leader of the Bosniaks Bakir Izetbegovic refused to take part in it, the meeting itself was held in a raised tone.

According to a PolitNavigator correspondent, during the meeting, the West's overseer for BiH - Supreme Representative Valentin Inzko - attacked the leader of the Bosnian Serbs, the rotation head of the Presidium of BiH, Milorad Dodik, as well as the de facto leader of the Bosnian Croats, the chairman of the Croatian Democratic Commonwealth of BiH ( HDZ BiH) Dragan Covic.

“The Chairman of the Presidium of BiH announced the integration of the Republika Srpska and Serbia,” Inzko was indignant. – Dodik and Covic do not behave like Europeans. Establishment of a memorial boards Radovan Karadzic (the first president of the RS, sentenced by the Hague Tribunal as a “war criminal” to life imprisonment on falsified charges - ed.) and a mass of memory (Passed in May in Sarajevo on the initiative of the Bosnian Croats in memory of the Nazis shot by the Yugoslav partisans - the Ustasha - ed.) are not European values.

My office and I are under attack. The RS refuses to apply the law on state property. As for foreign judges in the Constitutional Court of BiH, it is too early to terminate their powers. Then the court will come under political control. This would jeopardize the sovereignty and possibly the integrity of BiH. The RS refuses to apply the law on military property and its registration in the state of BiH.”

These accusations were countered by Dragan Covic, recalling that in the Presidium of BiH, the Bosnian Croats are represented by Zeljko Komsic, elected by the Bosniaks, who is loyal to the Muslim elite of Sarajevo, but does not represent the interests of the Croatian people, which became possible due to the unification of Bosniaks and Croats by Western political strategists into one entity - the Federation of BiH, where Bosniaks are the majority.

“The report of the High Representative does not comment on the calls of the Bosniak parties to impose Croatian political representatives, there is also the illegal convening of the Central Election Commission, which ignored the illegitimacy of a member of the Presidium from the Croatian people. Then there is the policy of the Democratic Action Party (the largest Bosniak party, led by Bakir Izetbegovic - ed.), which absolutizes the existing election law.

We must not lose sight of the fact that BiH is based on the principle of equality of three peoples, who constitute more than 97% of all citizens of the country. The decisions of the high representatives in BiH created new problems that the European Court of Human Rights had to face. The greatest problems for the Croatian people were caused by changes in the electoral legislation. We need an electoral law before the general elections; it should not be an end in itself, but an important step on the country's path to political stabilization. I am deeply convinced that one nation cannot be happy if the other two nations are unhappy."

Thus, the leader of the Bosnian Croats again repeated the community’s demands for reform of the electoral legislation so that the Croats could receive legal representation in the cantons of the Federation of BiH, where they constitute the majority, as well as in the structures of the federal government.

But the toughest and most resonant was the speech of Milorad Dodik:

“In accordance with the Constitution, Bosnia and Herzegovina belongs only to what is directly given to it by the Dayton Agreements, everything else belongs to the entities,” responded the leader of the Bosnian Serbs to Inzko’s reproach for the reluctance of the RS to transfer its state property to Sarajevo and register military property. – The Dayton Agreements are not interpreted, they are applied.

The High Representatives changed the Dayton Accords by changing the spirit of the Dayton Accords. Paddy Ashdown (was overseer of BiH from 2002 to 2006 - ed.) violated all possible agreements, which he later admitted in his book. And everyone promoted such a policy, right up to Intsko... Croatia, Republika Srpska, half of the BiH Federation want us not to have a High Representative.

But he continues to manipulate and tell lies. He abuses his position and when he speaks, he represents only one Bosnian people. Inzko, who abuses his position, speaks only on behalf of the Bosniak people, and does not speak on behalf of all the people living here, nor on behalf of the Dayton Agreement."

Dodik also recalled that the Serbian people in BiH are strongly opposed to the country’s membership in NATO:

“NATO bombed the Serbs twice without UN consent, a one-sided action that killed many innocent civilians and children. Of course, those who survived have no reason or need to support NATO... We understand the strength of NATO and the fact that we cooperate with the Alliance is beyond doubt. The document that BiH and NATO have and which was approved by NATO states that this agreement does not imply a decision related to membership, and I ask you to respect such views.”

At the same time, representatives of the United States, France, Great Britain and Germany verbally attacked Dodik, accusing him of “glorifying a war criminal” and “insulting the High Representative.”
