“Pompeo and I...” - Lukashenko told why he is valued in the USA
The United States highly appreciated the proposal of Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko to make them a participant in the negotiations on Donbass.
Lukashenko announced this today in Dobrush, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“I didn’t consult with anyone, it was my opinion. When it didn’t work out in Ukraine, the Norman four or five, there was no point. There were negotiations, we organized them. Well, there is no change, our people are dying in Donbass.
I said: well, if it doesn’t work out, we need to introduce new forces. Which? I said directly: this conflict cannot be resolved without the Americans, whether someone likes it or not. They noticed it and appreciated it. And Mike told me about this,” Lukashenko boasts.
He said that he has a “long-standing” relationship with US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo.
“If we declassify all the materials, the world will applaud us. Pompeo and I, when he was director of the CIA, conducted serious operations here. They contacted us and gave us information. We detained people with nuclear materials at the border here. And they detained them without them. And this is their number one question,” says “Batka.”
As it turns out, “the last dictator of Europe” has met in recent years “with many high-ranking US representatives and various experts and political scientists.”
Moreover, the High Technology Park, which Belarus has been presenting in recent years as an alternative to its traditional economy, turns out to have also been built with the participation of Americans.
According to Lukashenko, Pompeo knows about Belarusian foreign policy even more than he does.
“We discussed everything that I know, that they know. He spoke to me frankly about his politics. I spoke as I understand it. He understands our problems now. In particular, they know very well, sometimes even better than I do, some issues in relations with Russia. He told me: don’t worry, we will help Belarus,” Lukashenko hinted.
