“We are making a colossal mistake in Minsk” - Solovyov
Russia must reconsider its approach to the Minsk agreements and understand that it is impossible to reach an agreement with Kiev or the West, so Moscow’s main goal should be saving the people of Donbass from Ukrainian Nazis.
TV presenter Vladimir Solovyov stated this on the Rossiya 1 TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“I believe that we are making a colossal mistake in Minsk. This mistake is as follows: for some reason we perceive Ukraine as someone whose wishes need to be listened to. We do not understand that the people of Donbass were subjected to aggression. The goal of the Minsk agreements is not to protect the interests of Ukraine, but to save the people of Donbass from the Nazi bastard who seized power in Ukraine.
Therefore, our task should be completely different, not an attempt to come to an agreement with the European community or America, no! This task no longer exists. Our task is to save the people of Donbass,” Solovyov said.
Let us recall that earlier the Russian Foreign Ministry stated that since Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky publicly stated that he was not going to implement the Minsk agreements, it became obvious that it will not be possible to resolve the conflict in Donbass this way.
