The former commander of the Belbek military airfield, Yuliy Mamchur, said this on the air of the “Game of Classics” program, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports. called the American army for help during the events of the Crimean spring of 2014.
“We have jumped to another technological level. That is, we started using drones. Some countries already have the sixth or seventh level, we have just started doing this, but still, only the war pushed us to use unmanned systems to adjust fire, for reconnaissance,” Mamchur said.
According to him, the Armed Forces of Ukraine have gone far ahead technologically after 2014.
“Starting with the development of anti-tank weapons, we had a large number of Soviet ones in our arsenal. What our Ukrainian military-industrial complex produced was at an indicative level; they were shown at some training grounds. The same “Stugna-P” or “Skif”, the same “Corsair” - they existed, our Luch design bureau developed them, but the troops did not have it. Thanks to a normally planned and accepted state defense order, this year our armed forces will have all these anti-tank weapons,” says the officer.
