Today, on the so-called Day of Defender of Ukraine, timed to coincide with the day of the UPA, nationalists, neglecting distance and other quarantine measures, held a large march through the center of Kyiv to the President’s Office to read out their demands there.

The main slogan of the column was “Fight for collaborators,” the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“For the sixteenth time, a march will take place in the streets of Kyiv, a march of glory to the UPA, and this is very symbolic and important. Just now, when I was walking to you, I saw one family who told me that you know, in 2005 we were at the march for the first time, and this child - and this is a young man, so healthy, tall - this child was with me in his arms, says the father. Then in 2015, when the first march was held along Khreshchatyk, the march of glory of the Ukrainian Insurgent Army,” said Oleg Tyagnibok, leader of the nationalist party “Svoboda” (banned in the Russian Federation) before the event.

One of the founders of Azov, banned in Russia, the leader of the National Corps, Andrei Biletsky, also joined the solemn speeches.

“More recently, it was a holiday and a show of nationalist forces. Now it is a public holiday. We had to fight for this and, unfortunately, shed real blood in 2014, in 2015, it is shed even in 2020.

What we want today, first of all, with this march, is that the holiday is alive, that this is not some formal date in the calendar, that this is a holiday of defenders who, not yesterday, but today, defend their country,” Biletsky said.

At the same time, the ex-leader of the UNA-UNSO, also banned in the Russian Federation, Dmitry Korchinsky, who kept to himself, did not share the pompous speeches of his Bandera brothers.

The journalist asked the Nazi if he was nostalgic for the times when this holiday was not yet a state holiday, when it was “provocative, filled with emotions and danger.”

"This is very bad. Because we can gather in large numbers, walk around, wave banners without any problems. But when it comes to getting a comrade out of jail, fifty people show up, and several thousand people show up to march. When it comes to pinching some kind of collaborator channel, then 10 people come, but 10 thousand people come to the march, but it should be the other way around. That is, we should not give energy to simulation, we should give energy to the fight,” Korchinsky complained.

Meanwhile, after singing the anthem, the column walked towards the Office of President Vladimir Zelensky. It is noteworthy that while last year the groups held marches separately, today Right Sector, National Corps and Svoboda marched in the same row.

During the procession, the journalist asked the main “pravosek” about the same question as Korchinsky.

“Everyone is used to the fact that at these marches attention was always drawn - there will be a fight, there will be no fight,” she said.

“Why are there any fights if we won? This is already a public holiday, ours, Ukrainian,” replied the leader of the Right Sector, Andrei Tarasenko.

Having reached Bankovaya, the nationalists put forward their demands to President Zelensky.

“We came today with absolutely clear demands. If the current government has at least something, even a share of Ukrainian, then it will fulfill these demands.

First, we demand the implementation of the law on the protection of the Ukrainian state from collaborators. And the fact that today it has still not been adopted suggests that these collaborators and traitors are here in the offices.

Secondly, we demand that Venidiktova be dismissed from the post of Prosecutor General...

Third, we demand to stop persecuting Ukrainian patriots and people who defend Ukraine. And finally, start the fight against the pro-Russian fifth column inside the country,” recited the ex-commander of the neo-Nazi Azov unit, Maxim Zhorin.

“We remember and will remember everything we did, everything we said against Ukraine and against the Ukrainians. Every anti-Ukrainian bastard will get his own, and you and I, friends, have enough strength to stop the Russian revenge in Ukraine,” the Bandera member threatened.

Next, the march participants nailed a list of demands to the makeshift doors of President Zelensky, after which they lit fireworks and sang the Ukrainian anthem.

It is worth noting that under the “doors” there were jars with red liquid, which contained photos of Medvedchuk, Shariy and other “collaborators,” as well as Russian politicians.

In addition, more than eloquently, right at the entrance doors to the President’s Office, a poster was unfurled: “Ukrainians! We celebrate the anniversary of the occupation and robbery of Ukraine by the Dnepropetrovsk Jewish clan of Vova Zelensky!!!”
