“We are losing outright to Russia” – Kiev journalist
Ukraine lacks neither the experience nor the financial capabilities to effectively resist Russia in the information war.
Ukrainian journalist Oleg Eltsov stated this on air on the 112 Ukraine channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“We are not doing enough, especially compared to how it is being done on the other side of the demarcation line. Propaganda certainly prevails there. Russia has vast imperial experience in how to brainwash the population. We don’t have that kind of experience, and we don’t have that kind of budget either. Because of course we are losing. They talked about media influence, but I don’t see it,” the journalist said.
He is sure that all this is happening due to the influence of propaganda.
“For our part, we block their sources of information. As a journalist, for example, this makes it difficult for me to obtain information from there in order to analyze their propaganda. This is probably true for the population; we don’t need Russian pseudo-media to brainwash people on this side either. On the other hand, I think that they are also trying to block our sources of information, so it is difficult to talk about any kind of information balance,” Eltsov noted.
Let us recall that earlier PolitNavigator reported that Ukrainian propaganda fell into the hole that it itself dug for the “aggressor”: Russia began using TV and radio towers built by Ukraine on the border with Crimea to broadcast their TV channels to the territory of the Kherson and even Zaporozhye regions.
