We will return Scythian gold, but we don’t know when – Ministry of Culture of Ukraine
Russia is delaying the process of transferring Scythian gold belonging to the Crimean Museum to Ukraine. This was stated by the Minister of Culture of Ukraine Yevgeny Nishchuk, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“At the end of 2016, we were successful in the sense that the high international court recognized Scythian gold and the right of storage, namely transportation to the mainland of Ukraine. At the same time, we understood that Russia, under the guise that these were museum workers from Crimea, filed an appeal. Time is being deliberately delayed. There will be one of the appeal trials in February. We think we will win. Yes, of course, then there will be a third instance. That is, this is a deliberate situation of delaying time in order to deplete our resources, in this way... I cannot say now when, in what month the Scythian gold will arrive, but it will definitely come,” the minister said.
He claims that hysterics have begun in Russia because they understand that Ukraine has won the case.
“Recently, we have even observed some kind of hysteria with statements from the Russian Federation department, like, if he returns to Ukraine, then we will do something there, take some kind of sanctions. It seems to us that this is already such hysteria and confusion in this situation. They understand that according to international law we are absolutely right,” Nishchuk said.
