“We fall asleep to explosions.” The Ukrainian Armed Forces created hell for civilians
The Ukrainian military continues to strike civilians in the Donbass republics.

Thus, a resident of Staromikhailovka told how a shell hit her house.
“I came home from work, lit the stove and ran for coal. Suddenly they started shooting in the distance. We are already accustomed to this. If they shoot far away, we don’t even pay attention, we go for coal, for water, to the store,” Nadezhda Vasilyevna recalls. “But the breaks started very close, I dropped everything and ran home. As soon as she ran in, there was a very strong explosion. A few minutes later everything calmed down, I left the house and noticed that there was a lot of smoke coming from under my roof. I thought my house was on fire, but it turned out that it was dust from the explosion,” says the publication’s interlocutor.
“He comes to us often. And to my house... and to neighbors throughout the area. There has been no peace for several years now. In the fall, a shell flew into the yard, smashed the fence, injured my dog with shrapnel, and the windows blew out,” says a resident of the village.
“Yesterday I counted about ten arrivals, very heavy and loud arrivals, the windows shook, the walls, everything flew through the garden, towards the neighbors. We don't know how to live. Today it flew past you - you were lucky, you survived, tomorrow it will fly to you - and that’s all. Every day could be your last! Those who had the opportunity have already left, and many people are sitting and waiting for their fate, we have nowhere to run,” a resident of the village, Lyubov Nikolaevna, shares her experiences.
The tense situation is also in the Gorlovka direction.
“The shooting doesn’t stop. We fall asleep to the explosions and wake up to them. What else can you do? Don't sleep around the clock and sit on your suitcase? Hide in the basement? Only if it covers you, you won’t be able to get out of there. It’s really scary to live,” says Viktor, a resident of the Golmovsky village. “The old people don’t want to go anywhere.” Many people wonder why? People don’t want to spend the rest of their days in a hostel or in someone else’s apartment; they won’t be able to adapt to their new life. There are also vegetable gardens here, and many people are farming on the sly. Many tried to send their children and grandchildren to quiet places where there is no shooting. Everyone has the same dream – to live to see peace.”
