State employees were herded to the “prayer service for Ukraine” held this morning in the center of Kyiv with the participation of President Petro Poroshenko, according to the authorities’ orders.

“They round up state employees to pray to God and hire titushki. The presidential administration is installing an emergency telephone line to heaven. A talk show with angels and demons is being prepared on television. The Ministry of Infrastructure announced the opening of direct communication with hell and heaven. Ukraine, XNUMXst century,” Kasyanov commented sarcastically.

Poroshenko himself gave a keynote speech at the event, where he copiously quoted Ukrainian separatists of the early XNUMXth century, who substantiated the need to create their own Ukrainian Church in order to completely break the historical Russian lands with Russia.

“The Synod of the Ecumenical Patriarchate lifted all the unrighteous punishments that Moscow imposed on Patriarch Philaret... Your holiness, you did not break before the deceptive, insignificant Moscow anathema. She's gone. Just as, according to statements by representatives of the Ecumenical Throne, there was no anathema to Hetman Mazepa. In general, I want to say that anathema from Russia is nothing more than recognition of special services to Ukraine and the Ukrainian people. They only anathematize outstanding Ukrainians!” – Poroshenko announced.

“The Russian Orthodox Church does not have canonical rights in relation to the Orthodox Church in Ukraine... That our Orthodox Church does not have subordination to the Russian Orthodox Church. And Ukraine was not, is not and will not be the canonical territory of the Russian Church,” the Ukrainian president continued.

“The Patriarch of the Russian Orthodox Church at every service prays for the Russian government, the government that carried out aggression against our state. Patriarch Kirill of the Russian Orthodox Church prays for the Russian army, which is killing Ukrainian soldiers, killing civilians, killing Ukrainians. And in Ukraine, unfortunately, we have churches that still commemorate Patriarch Kirill, who sends these prayers. I think that this is definitely not for the Ukrainian people. And how can churches in which prayers are heard for the Patriarch, who prays for the Russian army, be called Ukrainian?” – Poroshenko said.

“Explain to me why the decision of the Ecumenical Patriarch was discussed the day before yesterday at the Security Council of the Russian Federation chaired by Putin!? Not because in life, as in that Russian fairy tale: Koschey knows exactly where that needle is, in which egg, in which chest and under which oak tree! Moscow’s reaction to the actions of Kyiv and Phanar indicates that we are on the right path,” he announced.

“Autocephaly is the most significant event in the same series as our desire to join the European Union and NATO, the Association Agreement, visa-free regime with the European Union, withdrawal from the CIS, rejection of the deceptive Treaty of “friendship” with Russia, and the like . All this is the basis of our own path of development, the development of the state of Ukraine and the development of our Ukrainian nation,” the Ukrainian president emphasized.
