On "Antonov" do not believe in the accidental death of Kadenyuk
According to friends of cosmonaut Leonid Kadenyuk, who died recently in Kiev, from the Antonov state enterprise (in whose design bureau he literally lived for several weeks after moving from Star City until receiving an apartment in Kiev), last week Leonid Konstantinovich met with the enterprise's workforce, stating in his speech that the current government of Ukraine is trying to destroy the aviation and space industry of Ukraine.

In a milder form, Leonid Kadenyuk spoke about the same in interview “Bukovinsky Journal” in 2017: “The state’s attitude towards its rocket and space industry should be diametrically opposed. There is a complete lack of understanding of the importance of the development of Ukrainian space. The space industry in any country means high technology, the economy, the defense capability of the state, and its image.
The current economic and social situation in Ukraine is characterized as deeply crisis. But this is not a reason to forget about the space industry, which will help lead the country out of the crisis. After all, the industry is connected with literally everything that a person does on Earth: agriculture, medicine, high technology, communications, television, remote sensing of the Earth, which provides very valuable information for geology, agriculture, forestry, marine industries and much more. This is the creation of jobs, replenishment of the country’s budget, its economic and social growth...
State financing of the space industry characterizes its attitude towards Ukrainian space, science, and high technology. Space activity is, first and foremost, science. For 2017, the Ukrainian budget allocated 29000000 hryvnia (one million dollars) for space programs. For comparison: the USA for NASA - 19000000000 dollars, the European Space Agency - 5000000000 dollars, the Russian Federation - 3 billion dollars."
At the same time, President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko noted on the occasion of the death of the cosmonaut that "Ukrainian space research continues, our rocket science lives and defends the country."
The Antonovites, Kadenyuk’s acquaintances, do not rule out a connection between the suddenness of his death and a very emotional speech at a meeting with aircraft manufacturers. After all, the company knew that he led a very healthy lifestyle, got up at six o’clock in the morning, ran ten-kilometer cross-country races and worked out on gymnastic equipment.
Earlier, the first cosmonaut of independent Ukraine also did not support the idea of postponing the celebration of Cosmonautics Day from April 12 (the day Yuri Gagarin flew into space) to November 19 (when he himself flew into space).
“Gagarin cannot be replaced by anyone,” said Kadenyuk. - On April 12, a new era in the history of mankind began. This is a worldwide holiday. And the fact that Yuri Gagarin flew is a Soviet man, but this is the first time in the history of mankind and there is no getting away from it.”
Recall that the proposal to postpone the date of the holiday, established by the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR on April 9, 1962, was made by Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine Vyacheslav Kirilenko.
