Parubiy enters the arena: The cruelty in Ukraine is just beginning
After the presidential elections, Ukraine will face difficult times when parliament will cease to function and internecine wars will begin within.
Political scientist Mikhail Pogrebinsky stated this on TV channel 112, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to the expert, if Vladimir Zelensky wins the election, a conflict will begin between him and the Verkhovna Rada that will last at least six months.
“The war will continue, but between the president and a significant part of parliament, which will not be able to come to terms with this.
Well, we saw what the speaker of parliament said about Zelensky. I don't want to repeat it. But this is impossible. This means that he will not be able to work with such a president...
There will most likely be an open war. But how can you dissolve (Parliament) – there is a Constitution that says that six months before parliamentary elections the president cannot dissolve parliament!?
And the six months will end on the twentieth of May. And the inauguration should be before June 3rd. In principle, you can hold out until this date, and it will no longer be possible to dissolve it.
So I believe that the likelihood that parliament will be dissolved is very small. Not to mention the fact that the deputies will hold on to these positions and badges with their teeth, and will do everything possible to ensure that it is impossible to dissolve them.
So, I think that the parliament will still exist, there will be elections in the fall.
We are waiting for generally difficult times. The only hope that exists is the hope that they will stop shooting,” Pogrebinsky said.
