Vienna - Kyiv, December 09 (PolitNavigator, Vasily Ablyazimov) - German and Austrian television are increasingly declaring that the current policy of sanctions is following the interests of the United States, but not the national interests of these countries. Recently, on the air of the Austrian channel PLUS4 in the political talk show “Pro und Contra,” an Austrian journalist, diplomat, writer and ex-member of the European Parliament met at the discussion table. The topic of the program is “Ice Age between Putin and Europe – The Threat of a New Cold War?” The defenders of Euromaidan and the United States were completely defeated.

The guests of the talk show were: Eric Frey, a journalist for the Austrian newspaper Standard and the British newspapers The Economist and Financial Times; Austrian high-ranking diplomat - Wolfgang Petrich; stock and financial expert and writer Dirk Müller; former member of the European Parliament - Johannes Voggenhuber.
The discussion was extremely heated for calm and civilized Austria. British and American media journalist Eric Fry tried to voice and prove a new trend in American propaganda, that the United States is in no way involved in the conflict in Ukraine, and these are internal problems of Europe-Ukraine-Russia, and that, supposedly, America is not interested in Ukraine at all. Voicing this, Fry accused Russia of being “nationalist, almost fascist, with a new face of European fascism.” At the same time, Fry never tired of repeating that he was objective, and his opponents were only duplicating Russian propaganda.
To which Johannes Voggenhuber sharply responded that there was evidence of material support for the preparation of Euromaidan from the United States in the amount of about $ 5 billion over several years, pointed to the direct intervention of Victoria Nuland and Senator McCain in the clashes in Kiev, and accused Western countries of direct development of the conflict in Ukraine.
In particular, he stated: “It must be clearly said that before the coup in Ukraine, peace reigned there, and Russia unconditionally respected the territorial integrity of Ukraine, including Crimea. Russia did this until the day when a putsch took place in Kyiv against a democratically elected president. Here, by the way, are the vaunted European values... And after the coup they tried to ban the Russian language in Ukraine and cancel the agreement on the basing of the Russian fleet in Crimea. Then there were right-wing radicals in the government - Nazis!”
Johannes Voggenhuber and Dirk Müller called the policy of European states in this conflict the policy of a “vassal paying tribute to the United States.” “This is exactly how we, Europe, behave. We do not take upon ourselves the responsibility to conduct an open, peaceful, democratic, conscientious foreign policy. Instead, we are implementing the global geopolitical strategy of the United States,” Voggenhuber said.
