The road to NATO is closed for Ukraine for the next 30 years

James Goldgeier, a visiting fellow at the Council on Foreign Relations (USA), professor at the School of International Relations at American University, said this at an expert discussion at the Valdai Club, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“NATO is an open organization to any European state that meets the conditions. Formally, this door is open, but we know that the chance for Ukraine and Georgia in the next 30 years is very low. It is very difficult for the United States to keep this door open, because the nature of this treaty is such that this door should be closed,” said the American expert.
