This was stated at the 13th annual YES meeting “World, Europe and Ukraine: Storms of Change” in Kyiv, said Pierre Lelouch, a member of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the French National Assembly.
“Over the past few years, we have seen that foreign policy cannot be based on the idea that these are bad and these are good. Bashar is bad, he must go. But the problem is that it is not Bashar who kills, but ISIS. We now need to defeat not Bashar, but ISIS. To do this, you need to create a coalition and be allies with the United States. And how to do it? Where were we when Obama's talks with Iran were going on? We were eliminated. Where were we in the negotiations with Syria? We were eliminated. We were eliminated in many economic matters, for example, we negotiated with the Germans, and now we have big problems. We have problems with the United States, with American policy in the Middle East. There we have a problem not with Russia, but with America,” he said.
