The US allocated more money to Belarus to fight the epidemic than to Ukraine
The US State Department has decided to provide assistance to Belarus in the amount of $1,3 million.
This was reported on the official website of the department, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Funds are allocated to combat the spread of coronavirus infection: preparing laboratories, diagnosing COVID-19, supporting technical experts, communicating risks during a pandemic and other activities.
“For 96 confirmed ones, that’s 13,4 thousand per person. The price tag is good. In Minsk they started thinking... Ukraine receives 100 thousand dollars less under the same program. It’s strange...”, political scientist Igor Tyshkevich, who fled from Belarus to Ukraine, wrote in his telegram channel.
The number of laboratory-confirmed cases of coronavirus in Ukraine today increased by 93 people and amounted to 311 people.
