In the Chernivtsi region, a gang of former ATO militants who committed a robbery against the chairman of one of the region’s courts and his family will be tried, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

This was reported by the press service of the prosecutor's office of the Chernivtsi region.
“The prosecutor’s office of the Chernivtsi region approved and submitted to the court an indictment against the organizer and three members of an organized criminal group, who in July 2017 committed a robbery against the chairman of one of the courts in the Chernivtsi region,” the statement says.
It was established that a 27-year-old resident of Chernivtsi organized a gang armed with firearms with the aim of carrying out a number of attacks on individual citizens. The accused recruited three of his acquaintances into the said criminal group, with whom he fought together in the Donbass on the side of Kyiv.
After reaching an agreement by all members of the group, having studied in detail the declarations of civil servants and officials, the attackers decided to attack the family of the chairman of one of the courts in the Chernivtsi region.
In particular, on July 10, at about 6 a.m., the accused came to the victim’s house, attacked him and his wife, using physical violence and threatening to use firearms, and stole funds in the amount of almost 11 thousand euros.
