In Branitsa they say that Sergei is a troublesome guy, a “Maidanovite”, one of the first to go to fight in the ATO. In the east he was concussed and wounded in the thigh. He was treated in a hospital in Kyiv for three months and only came home a few days before the tragedy.
After lunch, he was digging potatoes, and already at 7 o’clock in the evening he mortally wounded Luhansk resident Alexander.
Alexander Bezgin is not local. He came from the Dugan region and settled with old summer residents who needed care. Alexander became friends with his neighbor, 35-year-old Alexander Gurin. He lived alone, and companies often gathered at his house. That evening Alexander and Sergei came to him. The men were drinking and talking about politics! A quarrel arose between ATO soldier Sergei and Luhansk resident Alexander. They say that Sasha grabbed a chair and hit Sergei with it. And he responded by stabbing him with a knife and hitting him in the femoral artery. Alexander began bleeding heavily. He was still able to reach the house of the summer residents, who called an ambulance and tried to help. But by the time the car arrived from the regional center, Alexander bled to death.
Sergei was detained and taken to a temporary detention center, but the owner of the house, Gurin, hanged himself a day after the incident.
