In the Chernihiv region they tried to set fire to the temple and chapel of the UOC
In Gorodnya in the Chernihiv region, on the night of April 13-14, 2018, unknown persons damaged and tried to set fire to the St. Nicholas Church of the UOC and the water-blessed chapel of the Pochaev Icon of the Mother of God, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
This was reported by the Information and Educational Department of the UOC with reference to the press service of the Chernigov diocese.
“The attackers broke the glass in the window frames and doors, tried to break the lock and set fire to the front door of the temple.
The police were called immediately after the crime was discovered. Law enforcement officers recorded the facts of the crime. An investigation is underway,” the statement says.
