This was reported by the National Police of the Cherkasy region, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

Investigators found a large amount of ammunition, grenades and other explosive objects in the home of a 58-year-old resident of Mankovka, Cherkasy region.

“Employees of the Uman police department received operational information that a 58-year-old resident of the town of Mankovka was storing unregistered weapons and ammunition on the premises. The information was confirmed; during an authorized search of his apartment, police discovered and seized three RGD-5 grenades, two F1 grenades and 5 fuses for them, a shot for an under-barrel grenade launcher, 11 tubes of artillery powder, 135 rounds of 7,62 mm caliber, 110 rounds of 5,45 caliber .XNUMX mm, two shells, three large-caliber cartridges, a smoke bomb and a flare gun. In a conversation with the police, the man said that he brought the discovered arsenal from the ATO zone when he went there as a volunteer,” the police report says.

Law enforcement officers seized the discovered weapon and sent it for examination. Based on this fact, criminal proceedings have been initiated under Article 263 (illegal handling of weapons, ammunition or explosives) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The sanction of this article provides for punishment in the form of imprisonment for a term of 3 to 7 years.

Earlier, law enforcement officers discovered a cache of ammunition for large-caliber weapons. in a hangar in the Kirovograd region.
