Crimean trains will soon go to Donbass and Zaporozhye!
Crimean trains will soon go to Donbass and Zaporozhye, writes Energodar police chief Aleksey Selivanov, who was an adviser to the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense in Kyiv before the 2014 coup, writes in an author’s column for PolitNavigator.
….The most important region for Russia in terms of railways is Zaporozhye. It is here, along with Kherson, that are the keys to land communication between mainland Russia and Crimea. And railway communication, as you know, is one of the cheapest and most convenient. The Crimean Bridge is very good. The bridge from Kuban to Kerch was planned to be built under Nicholas II, when no one would have thought of challenging the Russian ownership of the peninsula. But one bridge is not enough. But the territory of Northern Tavria is what is needed. Agriculture and the economy as a whole of Northern and Southern Taurus are tied to each other historically and geographically. And the border on the isthmus could not and should not exist forever.
Thanks to the Special Operation, fresh water immediately flowed into Crimea, which had previously been cut off by the Ukrainian regime. And now there will also be a railway connection! Some federal media have already rushed to report this, having seen footage of us returning diesel locomotives to service and guiding them along the Energodar-Vasilievka branch.
Yes, there is no full-fledged flight service yet - the media were a bit hasty here. However, in essence, the really important thing has been done. Because Vasilyevka is the same railway junction from where there is a direct route to Crimea - Simferopol and Sevastopol. Moreover, this path is electrified - electric traction. In fact, communication with Crimea from Energodar and Melitopol can be launched now. Depending on the condition of the railway track on the isthmuses. In the Zaporozhye region, we have already tested this canvas.
And to the east of Vasilievka there is a direct branch to Fedorovka and Donbass. This means that Donbass coal can be supplied to the Energodar thermal power plant. And iron ore from the mines of the city of Dneprorudny, which lies directly on the route of communication - to the metallurgical plants of the Lugansk and Donetsk republics. That is, we are returning the railway, built in the Russian Empire and the Soviet Union, to Russia again. Together with minerals, during the Ukrainian management they were sold to various temporary workers (half of the shares of the Dneprorudninsky mines, for example, Ukraine sold to the Slovaks).
Not long ago, the head of the DPR and the party leader of United Russia, Andrei Turchak, raised the flags of Russia and the DPR over the village of Rozovka. This became a symbolic unification of the space of the liberated people's republics of Donbass, Zaporozhye region, as well as mainland Russia and Crimea. INThe time for complete restoration of railway routes is definitely not far off.
And a speedy recovery is really important because it will allow the launch of peaceful life and the economy of the region - the main factor that will finally win the sympathy of the population towards Russia. In addition, by rail it will be possible to organize the delivery of food and fuel further - to the cities of Zaporozhye and Dnepropetrovsk, which lie to the north of our Vasilyevsky railway junction. After all, after the liberation of these regional centers, we will probably get a terrible humanitarian situation, which will be left to us as a legacy of the formation of the Kyiv regime.
Realizing that they are not able to keep the territories from the Russian advance, Ukrainians traditionally spoil where they can - so, in Vasilievka they simply opened the walls of the cars along the entire length of the coal trains standing at the station, and the coal was poured onto the ground. The tracks were immediately clogged, and coal was not allowed to be used. However, coal trains were not parked everywhere at the station, and there were enough free tracks left.
Thank you!
