“According to the information we have, the Joint Forces Operation headquarters plans to close the 65th military medical hospital in the city of Chasov Yar due to the detection of COVID-19 in 70 percent of the medical personnel.
The carrier of the infection was hospital surgeon Lieutenant Kalka, who contracted the infection from his wife Valentina, who had recently been appointed to the position of resident in the evacuation department of the medical company of the 54th brigade.
It is known that 65 employees are currently isolated in the 37th hospital, including ten military personnel of the medical service of the 54th brigade, including the head of the medical service of the unit, Major Roshchupkin,” the message says.
The department also emphasized that the 54th brigade is the leader in the incidence of coronavirus among the units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Donbass.
