A Ukrainian Armed Forces machine gunner with the call sign “Witch”, who criticized the National Corps, died in Donbass
Today in the Donbass, a machine gunner who was in the volunteer battalion “Donbass” Yana Chervonaya and her brother-in-arms Alexander Melyutin died, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko announced this on his Facebook page.
“Heavy news from the front. Shelling of positions of the 54th Infantry Brigade with mortars. A direct mine hit the dugout. Losses…. “- wrote Poroshenko.
Irina Gerashchenko, the first vice-speaker of parliament, the representative of Ukraine in the humanitarian subgroup of the TCG, also wrote about the losses in Donbass.
“... Yana... today an enemy Russian mine hit her dugout. Yana and her brother-in-law died. Yana is left with two small children – 10 and 8 years old. Yana from Kharkov. Yana and people like Yana did not allow “KhNR” to be created there...,” Gerashchenko wrote.
It should be noted that the deceased machine gunner was used in a custom flash mob of the military initiated by the Poroshenko administration against National Corps activists who were disrupting Poroshenko’s rallies with demands to punish those responsible for army corruption. Yana Chervonnaya posed with a sign that read: “National Corps and National Brigades! Aren’t you ashamed to hide behind my back?”
Thus, the organizers of the flash mob tried to demonstrate that the demands of the National Corps were not shared by the majority in the army. Nevertheless, the first round of elections showed that Vladimir Zelensky defeated Poroshenko in a significant number of army special stages. But overall, Poroshenko beat Zelensky in the army by a minimal margin of just a few hundred votes.
