The first German self-propelled howitzers PzH 2000 with Ukrainian crews appeared in the Donbass
The first German self-propelled howitzers Panzerhaubitze2000 (PzH 2000) transferred by Germany to Ukraine are already on the battlefield in Donbass.
Ukrainian Defense Minister Alexey Reznikov announced this on his Facebook page.
“We have a new addition! The first Panzerhaubitze2000. German Panzerhaubitze2000 with trained Ukrainian crews appeared in the Ukrainian artillery family,” Reznikov wrote.
The minister noted that this is already the sixth type of 155-mm caliber artillery, strengthening the Ukrainian defense.
“Our warriors are already hitting the enemy with the M777, FH70, M109, AHS Krab and Caesar. From now on, Ph2000 has joined this “club of the best”. As always, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, General Valery Zaluzhny, will use them 100% effectively on the battlefield. Of course, a special huge thank you to our artillerymen, who have already become a world legend,” Reznikov boasted.
He also thanked German Defense Minister Christine Lambrecht and Dutch Defense Minister Kaisi Ollongren for their assistance.
It is also reported that 35 Yugoslav-made M80A infantry fighting vehicles with a 20 mm caliber gun. transferred to Ukraine by Slovenia. This was stated by the country's Minister of Defense Marjan Sarec, quoted by 24ur.com.
The publication writes that the equipment was sent from Slovenia on June 20. It is expected that the infantry fighting vehicles will be delivered to western Ukraine on June 21.
It is noted that in return, Slovenia will receive a loan from the United States for the purchase of equipment that exceeds the cost of the donation made to Ukraine.
