The head of the republic, Sergei Aksenov, announced this at the final press conference in Simferopol dedicated to the year of the “Crimean Spring”.

According to him, today generating facilities are being built on the peninsula.

“Our task is to build our own generating capacities. It is planned to invest about 40 billion rubles in this area. The reconstruction of our Crimean Thermal Power Plant and the creation of other capacities are already underway. Moreover, the production of our gas, given that we are drilling four new wells, will be enough to ensure the production of electricity, and at a price lower than what we sell today from the territory of Ukraine,” said the Crimean governor.
