This was stated at a press conference in Kyiv by the director of the Ukrainian Politics Foundation, Kost Bondarenko, who noted that interest in Ukraine is falling in the world.
“And the highest point of this decline is the statement by the EU leadership that in the next 25 years it is inappropriate to talk about Ukraine’s membership in the EU. There are no such plans for the next 25 years. This means that the topic of European integration and Ukraine’s membership in the EU is closed. What the Ukrainian average person has been promised for 20 years is not being considered today. Even the introduction of a visa-free regime, which they tried to introduce as a distraction, has already been postponed three times. I wouldn’t be surprised if they postpone it a fourth time,” the political scientist said.
