The basis of the festival will traditionally be a fair of folk products, decorative items and all kinds of crafts. They also promise to hold various competitions, games and master classes on Petrykivka painting and body painting in the national style, to which an entire alley will be dedicated.
According to the press service, this year the Petrykivsky Divotsvet festival will be renewed and as many as four alleys with Ukrainian national food will be opened within its framework. Each will be dedicated to a separate dish – dumplings, lard, pastries and honey.
Meanwhile, the This year, UNESCO included the Petrykivka painting in the List of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. Against this background, the idea of a lard alley looks like outright bad taste.
