Amid the crisis, rich Ukrainians spent $2 billion on new cars
Last year, almost 80 thousand new cars were sold in Ukraine, and the amount of purchases amounted to more than $2 billion, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

According to the publication, the largest share of sales was in Kyiv. There, over 12 months, they bought 30 thousand cars worth $900 million.
In second place is Kharkov, where last year they bought more than 6 thousand cars, on which they spent almost $200 million.
Dneprpetrovsk closes the top three. In the region, sales amounted to 5,7 thousand cars worth $170 million.
In total, the market for new passenger cars grew by 2017 percent in 25.
According to the report, the most expensive cars were bought by residents of Odessa. Their average car cost is $33 thousand. And in Chernigov they preferred budget cars - the average price of a car was less than 25 thousand dollars.
The most popular brand in 2017 was Toyota. Almost 10 thousand cars of this brand were sold in Ukraine. Ukrainians also often bought Renault and Volkswagen cars. Among the models, the Kia Sportage crossover became a bestseller. More than three thousand such cars were sold per year.
In addition, Ukrainians also bought premium cars. For example, two Rolls-Royce Wraith cars were sold in a year, each of which costs almost half a million dollars.
Also last year, 15 Bentley Bentayga cars were registered. The cost of one such car is about 300 thousand dollars.
For comparison, in 2016 more than 60 thousand new cars were sold in Ukraine. Then the cost of purchasing new cars amounted to $1,8 billion.
