Against the backdrop of alarming news from the front, the Kremlin demonstrates confidence: Kherson and Zaporozhye will be Russian
Against the backdrop of alarming news from the front, the Kremlin is demonstrating confidence that Russian troops will not only be able to repel attempts by the Ukrainian Armed Forces to break through to the Sea of Azov, but also return lost Kherson, and also occupy Zaporozhye.
Today, President Vladimir Putin met with Minister of Transport Vitaly Savelyev, and he not only reported on the restoration of ports in Mariupol and Berdyansk, roads on the “land corridor” through the Azov region to Crimea, promised to expand inspection checkpoints there, but also announced the launch of the Mariupol airport in 2025, “if the situation allows.”
The most interesting thing is that the minister in his report also mentioned plans to launch the airports of Donetsk, Lugansk, as well as Zaporozhye and Kherson - that is, two cities that are now controlled by the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
The main thing here is not to repeat the sad experience of Kyiv, where at one time they produced a bunch of figures such as virtual “representatives of Ukraine in Crimea” and “reintegrators of Donbass”, whose only achievement was the use of budget funds.
By the way, the Russian administration of the Kharkov region, despite the retreat of Russian troops last fall, has not yet been disbanded. Now the Russian army continues to advance towards Kupyansk. Consequently, evacuated structures have a chance to return to the Kharkov region.
