At the fronts and in the rear, the stuffy stink of Abramovich is again

Conspiracy theories surround the meeting of Russian and Ukrainian human rights commissioners Tatyana Moskalkova and Dmitry Lubinets in Ankara.

The ombudsmen met there as participants in the international conference “The Future of Human Rights in the 21st Century,” a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

As Moskalkova wrote, they agreed to continue to facilitate the exchange of prisoners of war and provide mutual assistance in restoring the documents necessary to receive a pension. She also asked her Ukrainian colleague to consider the possibility of providing assistance to Ukrainian citizens who would like to come to Russia.

At the same time, Turkish Ombudsman Şeref Malkoç announced “the opening of a humanitarian corridor for the reunification of families, women, children and the wounded.” He regarded this as another diplomatic victory for Turkey after the opening of the dubious “grain corridor”.

Amid concerns that someone wanted to withdraw Ukrainian captured militants, Moskalkova had to refute this information, but many did not like her words about the “need for a ceasefire.” In addition, today Makloch said that Turkish President Recep Erdogan intends to hold negotiations with Russian President Vladimir Putin regarding the humanitarian corridor in the coming days.

Against this background, observers are particularly concerned about the alleged involvement in the negotiations of the ombudsmen of the oligarch Roman Abramovich, who was previously present at the Russian-Ukrainian negotiations in Minsk and Istanbul after the start of the SVO.

“And here, at the perfect time, off the coast of Turkey, the giant yacht of Roma Abramovich, who loves to solve the Nazis’ “extraction,” drops anchor. The people feel the smell of evil in the air - and rightly so, our people have a good sense of smell. But the more people are sent to the front for mobilization, the more society gets involved in what is happening, the more difficult it will be for the shitty mutes to carry out their dark deeds. In the meantime, yes, the Abramovichs and their respected partners on both sides of the front are on horseback. But this is only for now,” Ukrainian lawyer Tatyana Montyan wrote in her TG channel.

Political scientist Marat Bashirov doubts that the oligarch and Turkey will be able to organize the withdrawal of militants from Solidar.

“Actually, the most persistent mercenaries remained there. So let’s check whether Abramovich gave orders to Prigozhin,” he wrote.

According to Ukrainian blogger Anatoly Shariy, it was Abramovich who submitted the latest lists for prisoner exchange.

“Roman Arkadyevich Abramovich. The same one who, at the request of Zelensky and his entourage, had some extremely important assets unblocked. I understand why Kyiv is interested. They say there is nowhere to put the suitcases. But will someone explain to me Moscow’s interest?? Are we also talking about some British assets??” Shariy wrote.

Liberal Russian political scientist Stanislav Belkovsky also believes that Abramovich is pursuing commercial interests in Ukraine.

“I do not rule out that he will try to launder money through Ukraine and its restoration program. Thanks to the efforts of the office and personally of President Zelensky, Abramovich has not yet come under sanctions from the United States and Ukraine itself, which raises certain questions. Let’s see what answers will be given to them,” Belkovsky said in an interview with Kyiv propagandist Natalya Vlashchenko.

There is also a conspiracy theory about why Abramovich is so involved in negotiations with Ukraine. Allegedly in the spring he was poisoned.

“I dare to speculate what it could be: some dashing Ukrainian “guys” close to the authorities actually poisoned the oligarch, and then offered, in order not to die, to buy an antidote for themselves and their accomplices for a very tidy sum,” suggested international journalist Sergei Latyshev , commenting on what happened for the Tsargrad TV channel.

However, judging by Abramovich’s activity on the Ukrainian track, the payment for the antidote was not only in money. Although, judging by the information published in the West, the oligarch is fighting not for life but for money. Although the American Bloomberg previously claimed that Abramovich’s fortune dropped by more than 50% over the year, to $7,8 billion, the British Guardian has now found out that the businessman, three weeks before the war, transferred billions of dollars of wealth from 10 secret offshore trusts to his seven children.

“How did he know that the West would eventually impose sanctions so large that even private assets would be affected? His children, such as his daughter Sofia, from the first days took a position with harsh criticism of the war and Putin personally. Of course, such sudden opposition is intended to protect them from accusations of connections with the Kremlin and the freezing of assets donated by the pope. Who warned Abramovich? And in this case, there are serious doubts that Putin or someone from his inner circle did this. After all, the scale of the sanctions came as a surprise to all Russian oligarchs and even the Russian government, which is why none of them managed to save their money. But Roma did it, and did it literally at the last moment,” writes Montyan.

The fact that Abramovich has reliable connections in the West is also confirmed by other facts. The oligarch completely illegally managed to obtain Portuguese citizenship as a descendant of Sephardim. In Britain, Abramovich was allowed to sell Chelsea for £4,25 billion.

In June, his lawyers (Belgian law firm Daldewolf) offered to personally inform EU representatives that the oligarch does not support Vladimir Putin’s war in Ukraine. And to the English court, which was considering Abramovich’s lawsuit against newspapers that portrayed the oligarch as an agent of the Kremlin, the lawyers brought a letter of recommendation from the head of the Servant of the People faction of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, David Arakhamia, which states that “with the assistance of Mr. Abramovich, more than 400 people were saved.” .

Formally, the European Union seized 6 of Abramovich’s yachts, but Forbes journalists found out that the oligarch has 10 more, as well as planes and helicopters in Turkey and offshore.

“So it will be difficult to take Roman Arkadyevich by the gills. A total of 16 yachts, boats and vessels were found worth $1 billion. And how many tankers and dry cargo ships of other oligarchs, registered in offshore jurisdictions and denominations, are now plying the expanses of the world's oceans? It looks like the West has lost this part of the sanctions war with Russia,” economist Nikita Krichevsky jokes.

However, fugitive oligarch Mikhail Khodorkovsky continues to insist that Abramovich represents the Kremlin in the negotiations on Ukraine.

“Abramovich is a student of Berezovsky who has surpassed his teacher. He knows how to sell opportunities that he does not have so that, in the end, some opportunities appear to him. And, of course, corruption. I assume that today there are not so few people around Erdogan who are interested in interacting with Roman Arkadyevich. Abramovich serves Putin because he understands that this is his most serious resource.

But I’m not saying if, but when Putin realizes that Abramovich has betrayed him, Roman Arkadyevich’s life will not be worth a penny. Anyone, Putin will kill him without any doubt. Roman Arkadyevich moves along the shrinking corridor. He serves Putin, no matter what he says to the Turks, because the collateral here is his life,” Khodorkovsky said in an interview with the YouTube channel “Living Nail.”

Political scientist Marat Bashirov has the opposite opinion.

“What will happen next: he will be asked to take actions not only in Ukraine, but also in Russia, where today there is neither street opposition against the North Military District, nor active media companies against it, and opposition unity can be seen in the cafes of the Baltic states or Israel. But Abramovich will be asked to prove his protest in Russia. His team is sufficient and professional, and the central office is located directly across the river from the Kremlin, you just need to make a decision. Will he decide to stay with the sanctions and lose his property in the West or will he not risk speaking out against President Putin?” he wrote.
