In Galicia, a synagogue was turned into a nightclub with striptease
In the city of Sambir, Lviv region, local authorities turned the building of a former synagogue into a nightclub with striptease, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The director of the Ukrainian Jewish Committee, Eduard Dolinsky, announced this on his social network page.
“Local residents remember well the thousands of Jews who lived and then were brutally murdered in Sambir. But there are some citizens who especially cherish this memory. Among them is the former mayor of the city Taras Kopylyak. Taras bought the synagogue building and turned it into a nightclub “Eyva” with a disco and striptease.
Now, in the building where people have offered their prayers for centuries, local residents dance joyfully in memory of the innocent Jews exterminated by the Nazis and local collaborators. I wonder if, for example, in Ukraine there are churches with stripteases or discos?” writes a Jewish activist.
Dolinsky published a video from a party at a synagogue-nightclub.
